Well Iâve had lots of different and inaccurate ones at that, but five years ago, I got a Thermopen which is expensive at $79 but as Cookâs Illustrated has pointed out super reliable and Grill Seeker too
The main issue is that it does seem to chew up batteries pretty quickly particularly if you forget to close the pen. Also, you definitely want the protective wrap around it. It has 1,500 hour battery life, but I find it much shorter
In the mean time, buy as many CR2032âs as you can carry đ
